Dragons are a reptile species native to the continent Bhys. Once numerous, they have been severely reduced in number by overhunting and habitat loss. Their are now considered an endangered species and are only found in wildlife preserves such as Dragon Valley National Preserve. Historically, dragons were domesticated as beasts of burden and war. In modern times, their domesticated cousins, the drakes, are bred among themselves, and kept as pets in addition to their previous uses. Contrary to popular legend, dragons do not and have never breathed fire.
